The UK government will commit to £500,000 a year to support financial technology development in the UK, chancellor Philip Hammond has announced in the Autumn Statement. This fund will be administered by the Department of International Trade, in addition to commissioning an annual 'State of UK FinTech' report on key metrics for investors.

Let's hope that these funds help some promising entrepreneurs and that the country shores up its position as a leading FinTech playing in the post-Brexit era.
